Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup hot sauce (such as Frank’s RedHot)
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for extra heat)
  • 12 slider buns
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or your favorite cheese)
  • 1/2 cup blue cheese dressing (or ranch dressing)
  • Celery sticks, for serving (optional)

Instructions

  • Cook the Chicken. You can bake, grill, poach, or use leftover cooked chicken. To poach, place chicken breasts in a pot, cover with water, and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 12-15 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through. Let the chicken cool slightly.
  • Shred the Chicken. Once the chicken is cool enough to handle, shred it using two forks or a stand mixer with the paddle attachment.
  • Make the Buffalo Sauce. In a large bowl, whisk together the hot sauce, melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper (if using). Taste and adjust the seasonings as needed.
  • Combine Chicken and Sauce. Add the shredded chicken to the bowl with the buffalo sauce and toss to coat evenly.
  • Assemble the Sliders. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice the slider buns in half and place the bottom halves on a baking sheet. Pile the buffalo chicken mixture onto the bottom buns, then top with shredded cheddar cheese. Place the top buns on the sliders.
  • Bake the Sliders. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the buns are lightly toasted.
  • Serve and Enjoy! Remove the sliders from the oven and let them cool slightly. Drizzle with blue cheese or ranch dressing (or serve on the side) and serve immediately. Don’t forget the celery sticks for dipping!

Notes

Tender chicken, tangy buffalo sauce, and a creamy coolness to balance the heat. These Buffalo Chicken Sliders are simple, satisfying, and perfect for game day or a quick dinner.
