  • 4 cups eggnog (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee (or 4 shots of espresso)
  • 1/4 cup chocolate syrup (or melted dark chocolate)
  • 1/4 cup peppermint schnapps (optional, for adults only!)
  • 1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • Whipped cream, for topping
  • Chocolate shavings, for garnish
  • Crushed peppermint candies, for garnish

Instructions

  • Combine the base ingredients. In a large pitcher or bowl, whisk together the eggnog, brewed coffee (or espresso), chocolate syrup (or melted chocolate), peppermint schnapps (if using), and peppermint extract. Make sure everything is well combined and there are no lumps of chocolate.
  • Chill (optional). If you’re making this ahead of time, cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. This step also ensures the drink is nicely chilled before serving.
  • Serve and Garnish. Pour the Peppermint Mocha Eggnog into mugs or glasses. Top with a generous dollop of whipped cream, chocolate shavings, and crushed peppermint candies. The combination of textures and flavors is just heavenly!
