A festive and easy no-bake treat featuring graham crackers, chocolate, marshmallow creme, and patriotic toppings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 14 whole graham cracker sheets divided
  • 1-1/2 cups milk chocolate chips or semi-sweet
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 1/2 of a 7-ounce container marshmallow creme
  • 1/2 cup M&Ms red, white, & blue
  • 1/4 cup dehydrated marshmallows optional
  • 2 tablespoons patriotic sprinkles optional
  • Flaky sea salt optional

Instructions

  1. Line a sheet pan with parchment paper.
  2. Arrange 12 whole graham crackers side by side in a single layer on the prepared pan.
  3. Combine the chocolate chips and coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl.
  4. Microwave the chocolate mixture in 20-second bursts.
  5. Stir the chocolate for about 15 seconds between each burst.
  6. Continue microwaving and stirring until the chocolate is mostly melted.
  7. Stop microwaving and continue stirring until the chocolate is completely smooth.
  8. Be careful not to overheat the chocolate.
  9. Carefully pour the melted chocolate over the graham crackers.
  10. Use the back of a spoon, butter knife, or offset spatula to gently spread the chocolate into an even layer.
  11. Hold the graham crackers in place as needed so they do not slide around.
  12. Run a spoon under very hot water and dry it off.
  13. Use the warm spoon to scoop out the marshmallow creme.
  14. Dollop small spoonfuls of marshmallow creme evenly over the chocolate.
  15. Use a butter knife or toothpick to gently swirl the marshmallow creme into the chocolate.
  16. Sprinkle the M&M’s evenly over the bark.
  17. Sprinkle the dehydrated marshmallows evenly over the bark.
  18. Gently press the M&M’s and dehydrated marshmallows into the chocolate so they adhere.
  19. Crush the remaining 2 graham crackers with your fingers.
  20. Sprinkle the crushed graham cracker pieces over the top.
  21. Add patriotic sprinkles if desired.
  22. Add a small pinch of flaky sea salt if desired.
  23. Refrigerate the bark for about 3 hours until the chocolate is completely firm.
  24. Alternatively, freeze the bark for at least 1 hour until completely firm.
  25. Once set, use a sharp knife to cut the bark into large sections.
  26. Break the large sections into smaller, irregular pieces.
  27. Serve the bark chilled for the best crisp, snappy texture.

Notes

Use good quality chocolate chips for the best flavor and melting consistency.
Warm your spoon before scooping marshmallow creme; it makes it much easier to handle.
Chill the bark thoroughly for at least an hour in the freezer or three hours in the fridge.
Store leftover bark in an airtight container in the refrigerator to maintain its crisp texture.
