Rich, boozy, and incredibly decadent, these Chocolate Kahlua Truffles! are easy to make and perfect for gifting or a special treat.

Ingredients

  • 3 C semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 14 oz can of sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 tsp Kahlua
  • 1 C Christmas red green and white nonpareils

Instructions

  1. Set up a double boiler over simmering water.
  2. Add semi-sweet chocolate chips to the top bowl of the double boiler.
  3. Add sweetened condensed milk to the bowl.
  4. Add Kahlua to the bowl.
  5. Stir all ingredients together gently until completely smooth and melted.
  6. Remove the bowl from the heat.
  7. Scoop the truffle mixture into a separate clean bowl.
  8. Place the bowl into the fridge.
  9. Chill for 3 hours until firm.
  10. Pour sprinkles into a shallow bowl.
  11. Use a small ice cream scooper to scoop out portions of the chilled truffle mixture.
  12. Roll each scooped portion into a ball in your hands.
  13. Roll each chocolate ball into the sprinkles until fully coated.
  14. Place the coated truffle onto a parchment paper lined cookie sheet.
  15. Repeat rolling and coating steps with the remaining truffle mixture.
  16. Serve and enjoy!

Use good quality chocolate chips for the best flavor.
Ensure your double boiler setup prevents water from touching the chocolate bowl.
Chill the truffle mixture thoroughly for easy rolling.
Work quickly when rolling to prevent the truffles from getting too soft.
