Indulge your skin with these easy-to-make, deeply moisturizing lotion bars, scented with uplifting sweet orange and warm vanilla.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 Oz Shea Butter
  • 3 Oz Coconut Oil
  • 3 Oz Beeswax
  • 10 Drops Sweet Orange Essential Oil
  • 4 Drops Vanilla Essential Oil
  • 1/8 tsp Orange Mica Powder

Instructions

  1. Measure the shea butter, coconut oil, and beeswax by weight using a kitchen scale.
  2. Place all measured ingredients into a microwaveable jug.
  3. Place the jug into the microwave and heat on high for one minute.
  4. Remove the jug from the microwave and stir the mixture.
  5. Repeat heating in short 10 to 20-second bursts until all ingredients are fully melted and smooth.
  6. Once completely melted, add the 10 drops of sweet orange essential oil.
  7. Add the 4 drops of vanilla essential oil.
  8. Stir in the 1/8 tsp of orange mica powder.
  9. Stir the mixture very well to ensure all oils and powder are evenly distributed.
  10. Place your chosen mold on a flat, undisturbed surface.
  11. Carefully pour the melted mixture into each cavity of the mold.
  12. Fill each cavity until it is approximately ¾ full.
  13. Allow the lotion bars to set, undisturbed, for about 6 hours at room temperature.
  14. Once fully set, gently remove the bars from the mold.
  15. Store the finished lotion bars in an airtight container.

Notes

Use a digital kitchen scale for accurate ingredient measurements.
Melting in short bursts prevents overheating and preserves ingredient quality.
Ensure bars are fully set before unmolding to prevent crumbling.
Store in an airtight container away from heat and direct sunlight.
