A quick and cozy breakfast, this warm chia and flax pudding is creamy, nutritious, and endlessly customizable with your favorite toppings.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2-1 3/4 cup milk, of choice
  • 2 tbsp chia seeds
  • 2 tbsp ground flax seeds
  • 1 serving protein powder
  • dash of cinnamon, to taste
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • pinch of sea salt
  • sweetener, to taste I.E. dash of honey, maple syrup, or monk fruit drops
  • 1-2 tbsp nut butter, for topping
  • fresh berries, for topping
  • chopped nuts, for topping

Instructions

  1. Add milk to a small, deep pan.
  2. Add chia seeds to the pan.
  3. Add flax meal to the pan.
  4. Add protein powder to the pan.
  5. Add vanilla extract to the pan.
  6. Add sea salt to the pan.
  7. Add sweetener to the pan.
  8. Add cinnamon to the pan.
  9. Whisk all ingredients together thoroughly to ensure the protein powder is mixed in.
  10. Place the pan over medium heat.
  11. Continuously stir all ingredients.
  12. Continue stirring until the pudding becomes thick, about 3 minutes.
  13. Remove the pan from the heat.
  14. If the mixture is too thick, add a dash more milk.
  15. Transfer the pudding to your bowl.
  16. Top with nut butter, fresh berries, and chopped nuts.
  17. Serve immediately and enjoy warm.

Notes

Continuously stir the pudding to prevent sticking and ensure even thickening.
Adjust the amount of sweetener and cinnamon to suit your taste preferences.
If the pudding gets too thick, a splash of milk will loosen it right up.
